It was an emotional night for two people who made a big impact on Quincy in a short time.
Majors Dan and Dorene Jennings were recognized at a special farewell reception at the Kroc Center Thursday night-- a facility they helped get off the ground and open.
The Jennings have been assigned to the Upper Michigan/Wisconsin Division of the Salvation Army.
Major Dan Jennings says he was really proud to serve the Quincy community.
"We will always have Quincy in our hearts it will be a very special place to us, and we will never forget the time that we spent here," said Major Dan Jennings.
The New leaders of the Quincy Salvation Army, Majors Andrew and Cheryl Miller, take over February 6th.
