The goal has been set: Quincy Notre Dame is trying to raise $411,000 in their 36th annual fund drive.
More than 100 QND staff, students and community volunteers gathered Friday morning to launch the "We staND for Excellence" campaign.
The money raised helps offset the difference between tuition and the actual cost of education.
Organizers say its not only important for today's students, but also for future students who would like to come but may not have the means.
"That's what the fund drive really supports, is that financial assistance to make sure that every student who wants to attend Quincy Notre Dame has that opportunity," said Julie Bowen, QND Fund Driver Co-Chairperson.
The business phase of the campaign runs six weeks.
The parish phase titled "QND Commitment Sunday" will be held Sunday, March 3 in Quincy and Hannibal Catholic parishes.
The final phase of the drive, held May 6-16, is the Annual Phone-a-thon.
Since it was first established, the Annual Fund Campaign has raised nearly $10.5 million.
