KEOKUK, Ia. (WGEM) -
An initiative to fix dilapidated tennis courts at Keokuk High School is continuing to gain momentum.
A local fundraising group has secured $40,000 for the re-surfacing project, estimated at $175,000.
Fundraisers say they are raising money to help take some of the burden off the city and the school district.
Under the approved agreements, the school district is responsible for 40 percent and the city 60 percent of the total project.
