QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

Are you stressed about getting your taxes done?

A local non-profit organization can help for free.

The United Way of Adams County kicked off its seventh year for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.

The program helps families achieve the most savings and tax credits possible, while taking the stress out of filing

"It is helpful, I think the biggest draw is because it's free we do the preparations for free. You're income has to be $50,000 or under which does encompass a lot of people especially single or divorced, that isn't necessarily low income in Quincy," Stephanie Erwin, United Way VITA Coordinator, said.

If you'd like to get free tax prep help, you can call the United Way and set up an appointment at (217) 222-5020
