Boil order in effect near 11th & Sycamore in Quincy

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

Residents in the 11th and Sycamore area of Quincy will be under a boil order after a water main break.

Quincy Director of Utilities David Kent says a water main break at 11th and Sycamore will be without service until sometime between 8-10 p.m. Friday while repairs are made for customers on Spruce Street between 10th-12th streets, and 11th Street between Sycamore and Spruce.

A 48-hour boil order will be in effect after service is restored.
