Big Buddy Day gives kids a chance to interact with law enforcement

Some tri-state kids went Bonkers Saturday afternoon.

It was all part of Schuyler County Sheriff's Office Big Buddy Day at Going Bonkers in Quincy.

The day is designed to given local youth a chance to interact with law enforcement officers in a fun environment.

Organizers say it is important for kids to know how law enforcement can be a positive part of their lives.

"Law enforcement is good. We can do things well for the community and provide for our kids because we care about our kids. That's what we're here for," said Thursa Edwards of the Schuyler County Sheriff's Office.
