Northeast Missouri man arrested for breaking into coin operated vacuum cleaner

LEWISTOWN, Mo. (WGEM) -

A Northeast Missouri man is arrested for reportedly trying to steal quarters from a coin operated car vacuum cleaner.

David Dowling, 35, of Vandalia, is charged with property damage.

The Lewis County Sheriff's Office says on Oct. 12, Dowling broke into the Fleer Tire auto vacuum unit in Lewistown.

Dowling is also suspected of tampering with a motor vehicle and property damage in Canton.

Authorities say more arrests are pending.
