QND Kicks off Catholic Schools Week

Hundreds of students from across Quincy came together Monday to kick off "Catholic Schools Week" with a special guest.

Bishop Thomas John Paprocki of the Diocese of Springfield led a mass service at Quincy Notre Dame. He stressed the importance of students getting a Catholic education, to learn about their faith early on which will make their faith stronger.

Bishop Paprocki says he's got high expectations for the future of Quincy's Catholic schools.

"What I'm looking forward to is continued growth. That we'll get more students that will come out here, that we'll have more families take advantage of Catholic education. And that we'll continue to improve the quality of what we provide, what we offer in our Catholic schools," said Paprocki.

More events are planned this week, including mass services in the QND Chapel and a Community Appreciation Pizza Lunch on Wednesday. To view more events click on the following link. http://www.quincynotredame.org/calendar.php
