Biggest Loser contestant shares her inspirational story in Hannibal

Blessing and Hannibal Regional Healthcare System teamed up to educate women on the importance of heart health.

Former "Biggest Loser" contestant Tracey Yukich spoke to dozens of people at Monday's Healthier Together series at Hannibal-LaGrange University.  Tracey shared her own struggles with weight and how she was able to lose more than 100 pounds and turn her life around.

Tracey says the key is simple, watch your calories and move more.

"So I always go back to grass roots. Start cooking at home. The greener the better, the more color the better. Stop giving all your money away to the fast food restaurants."

Women were also able to visit several educational booths tonight from local businesses and medical facilities and get free health screenings.  If you missed Tracey Yukich Monday, she'll be in Quincy at John Wood Community College Tuesday night.  The event is free and open to the public.  It runs from 6-8pm at the Heath center.  She's also hosting a lunchtime workout at the YMCA in Quincy.  You have to call ahead to register.
