MACOMB, Ill. (WGEM) -- Western Illinois football coach Bob Nielson is moving quickly in getting commitments from both near and far.

Locally, he's landed one of the top fish in the recruiting pond.

Macomb All-State linebacker Brett Taylor told WGEM Sports on Tuesday he's staying home and will play for the Leathernecks starting this fall.

Taylor wrapped up his Bomber career as arguably the top defensive player in program history.

He will make his decision official at a signing with Iowa State bound Nick Severs on Wednesday, February 6.
