The Macomb man who led authorities on an overnight chase after stealing several guns last June will be serving time in federal prison.
Christopher R. Bigsby, 35, appeared in federal court Tuesday where he was sentenced to 77 months on a charge of possession of firearms by a felon.
Bigsby was arrested last June after allegedly stealing several guns from a rural Macomb residence. Bigsby, along with 34-year-old Shawn Banks, led authorities on a high speed chase before abandoning their vehicle and running away into a cornfield.
Banks was caught after a short foot chase, but authorities had to bring in a helicopter to search for Bigsby. He was found the next morning in a Macomb residence.
McDonough County Sheriff Rick VanBrooker says Banks is still in the middle of legal process.
