Some local kids were on the hunt for a good time Saturday.
The Quail Forever Golden Triangle Chapter teamed up with Big Brother, Big Sister to gives local kids a chance to go quail hunting today.
The kids learned about gun and hunting safety and then took to the fields.
Organizers say events like today's gives underprivileged kids the opportunity to participate in fun activities with good role models.
"We try to get kids out into the outdoors. That's like our main focus. Get them off the couch, playing video games and stuff. Get them out to mother nature and the beautiful outdoors," said Ryan Viehmeyer, chapter president of Quail Forever.
The group serves Adams, Brown and Pike counties and is supported by fundraising events.
