Tree removal to limit traffic on Highway 61 in Hannibal

HANNIBAL, Mo. (WGEM) -

Expect some delays on Highway 61 in Hannibal over the next few days as workers do some heavy duty landscaping.

Starting Tuesday at 8:30 a.m., MoDOT crews will be removing trees from the hillside near Fair Oaks Subdivision.

Southbound traffic on 61 will be down to one lane from just south of the Steamboat Bend Shopping Center to Route MM each day until 2:30 p.m.

Work should be done by Thursday.
