Your taxpayer dollars will help contribute to some potential major renovations at the Marion County Courthouse in Hannibal.
Presiding Commissioner Lyndon Bode says there are problems with water coming into the basement offices as well as ventilation in the nearly century-old building. The total cost of the project wouldn't exceed $150,000. He said the time is now to make these improvements.
"It's been a matter of making sure something got done this year as opposed to small fix and do the major fix and hopefully this will take care of it," Bode said.
Bode said the work could start as soon as this summer.
