A Northeast Missouri teenager is arrested after reportedly taking chemicals from his school and trying to make gun powder.

Gregory Garner, 17, of Ewing, is charged with possessing an explosive or incendiary material.

The Lewis County Sheriff's Office says Garner stole chemicals from a Highland High School science room.

Authorities say Garner did not intend to hurt anyone with the gun powder.

Garner is free after posting a $10,000 cash bond. The investigation continues.
