Firefighters respond to accident outside their front door

Posted:

QUINCY (WGEM) -- Quincy firefighters didn't have to go very far this afternoon, when they responded to an accident right in front of Central Fire Station.

Two vehicles collided at 9th and Vermont, right around noon.  The Quincy Police Department says a white SUV was headed south on 9th when it crossed Vermont, and was hit by a van headed east.

The driver of the SUV was ticketed for not obeying the stop sign.  No one was seriously injured.
