PAYSON, Ill. (WGEM) -

A Payson woman is accused of theft by deceiving an elderly man and using his credit card.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office says a four month investigation led to the arrest of 37-year-old Sarah Rogers.

Authorities say Rogers started using the elderly man's credit card without his permission in August and continued racking up more than $500 in charges through November.

She's scheduled to appear in court Friday.
