Keokuk students gearing up for Show Choir Invitational

Students at Keokuk High School are polishing their dance moves and practicing their high notes in anticipation for the annual Keokuk Show Choir Invitational.

On Saturday, the school will host 14 schools from five different states.

Nick McGraw, Director of Choral Activities, says the students are involved in many aspects of the day

"Working concessions to helping out the judges. Hosting the judges. Hosting each group. Each group gets a couple Keokuk hosts that show them around throughout the day. Help as directors come in so they get pretty pumped about it because it is such a big and fun event and puts our school in a pretty cool lime light," McGraw said.

The event is open to the public and adult tickets are $10 and students tickets are $7. The first performance is at 8:30 a.m.
