Expansion continues at Quincy bicycle shop

A bicycle shop in Quincy is moving along with a half-million dollar expansion.

Greg Davis, owner of Madison and Davis Bicycle Shop, says they're finishing up interior projects like painting, plumbing, and installing cabinets.

The new 5,000 square foot facility is being built at 8th and Jefferson. Davis says one of the new features is a "Professional Fit Station".

"It is a raised platform that has a trainer, their bicycle would sit on that trainer then we can watch the customer interact with the bicycle and make adjustments on it as far as handle bar height and frame lengths, seat positioning, and so forth," Davis said.

Davis also says the new space will allow them to put more bikes on the floor, making it easier for customers to get a better look at the bikes.
