FORT MADISON, Ia. (WGEM) -

Authorities in Southeast Iowa make two arrests in connection to an exploding meth lab that destroyed a mobile home last month.

Matthew Moeller and Kyle Pierce, both of Fort Madison, are facing meth and arson charges.

If convicted, they face up to 55 years in prison.

Several neighbors reported hearing an explosion on Jan. 25 before the mobile home at 3902 Bluff Road was engulfed in flames. (Read: "Two homeless following Friday fire in Fort Madison" )

The Lee County Narcotics Task Force reportedly found evidence of a meth lab at the scene, which was less than 1,000 feet from a school.
