Quincy man arrested on federal meth charges

A Quincy man faces federal meth charges.

Adams County sheriff's deputies and U.S. Marshals arrested 41-year-old Scott Roan Wednesday in the 1200 block of North 11th.

Roan is charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine

The West Central Illinois Drug Task Force and the Adams County Sheriff's Office, assisted by Meth Response Team and Quincy Police, developed the case and arrested Roan in July 2012.

He was charged in state court for two counts of methamphetamine precursors 30-150 grams and one count of methamphetamine delivery.

The Adams County state's attorney's office allowed the case to be dismissed so federal prosecutors could charge Roan.

He'll be transported to Springfield for a first appearance hearing to be arraigned on his federal charges.
