Four people in hospital after two car accident at 24/61 interchange


Four people were transported to a nearby hospital after a two vehicle crash Friday afternoon at the Highway 24/61 interchange near Palmyra, Missouri.

Emergency crews responded shortly after 2:30 p.m. A Missouri State Highway Patrol officer on scene says a car pulled out in front of a SUV, the two collided at a high rate of speed and landed off the road.

One vehicle also knocked out a stop sign as it rolled. Emergency crews had to rescue one woman who was trapped in the car.

The victims were transported by ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital. The extent of the injuries was not immediately known.
