A Hannibal man is in jail after leading police on a high speed chase.
It started on CR 418, when a Marion County deputy saw the car speed through a stop sign. The deputy started to follow, when the driver picked up speed. The deputy followed the car on to Paris Gravel Road and US 61, where the suspect hit another vehicle, forcing it into a median.
The car then drove through Market Street on Hannibal. Deputies say he was driving 90 miles per hour. They say he then crashed while trying to make a turn - and then ran off. Deputies caught up with him in a creek bed, where he struggled with deputies until he was tased.
The suspect was identified as Steven Craig Caskey, and he was arrested for fail to yield to an emergency vehicle, hit and run accident, driving with a revoked license, and resisting a police officer by fleeing.
