Below is a list of the nominees for The Honda/Hyundai's Jason Deters & WGEM SportsCenter Prep Athlete of the Week. The fan vote counts as one vote in the total vote process ... with 10 sports broadcasters/writers submitting ballots as well. The winner will be announced Monday morning at 7:35 on WGEM SportsCenter, ESPN 1440 AM or WGEM.com/sports.

NOTE: All candidates are from the ESPN 1440 coverage area.

From Feb. 11 - Feb. 17

Chandler Fohey (Hannibal) -- The lone grappler in the area to claim a wrestling title, Fohey beat Platte County's Matthew Schmitt 1-0 to win the 106-pound Class 3 title.

Mary Beth Hugenberg (QND) -- As the Lady Raiders claimed their first Class 3A regional title, it was Hugenberg that led them in scoring last week. In the title game she went for a career-high 22 points, while earlier in the week she had 21 points versus Jacksonville.

Dakota Limkemann (Central-SE) -- Despite coming up a little short of claiming a sectional title, the sophomore was a huge reason why the Lady Panthers could be considered one of the best stories of the basketball season. Limkemann led the team with 12 points and seven rebounds in Monday's win over Pleasant Plains and then added a team-high four assists against Litchfield.

Andre McClure (South Shelby) -- The Cardinals won back-to-back CCC titles for the first time in program history and it couldn't have happened without another big week from their big guy. The senior dominated the glass especially, pulling down 17 rebounds on Tuesday versus Macon and then adding 18 points and 12 boards on Friday to wrap up the title.

Evie Miles (Palmyra) -- A perfect run through the CCC was made possible by a solid week from Miles, who finished it off by going for 17 points -- including five 3-pointers -- on Tuesday at Mark Twain then hitting three treys on Friday night at home against Monroe City and ending with a game-high 14 points.
