Accident in McDonough County After Driver Falls Asleep

A driver falls asleep behind the wheel in McDonough County and ends up crashing his car.

Troopers with the Illinois State Police say 29 year old David Warner was driving south on us 67, when he fell asleep and ran his car off the road. They say his vehicle rolled and came to a stop on it's roof in the bottom of a ditch.

Warner was taken to by ambulance to McDonough District Hospital, and then flown to OSF St. Francis in Peoria. 

Alcohol is not thought to be involved.
