
A three month investigation into a drug dealing ring in McDonough County leads the arrest of five people.
The McDonough County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at an apartment on Randolph Street in Macomb and reportedly found marijuana, Xanax, packing materials and $5,000 in cash.
Thomas Romano, 21, is charged with Manufacture/Delivery of Cannabis 500-2000 grams and Possession of Cannabis 500-2000 grams. Timothy Kordecki, 20, was charged with Manufacture/Delivery of Cannabis 500-2000 grams, Possession of Cannabis 500-2000 grams and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Xanax). Nicholas M. Madsen, 22, reportedly fought with the search warrant entry team, was charged with Resisting/Obstructing Police Officers. And Elena Garcia, 22, was charged with Possessing Drug Paraphernalia.
A second search was conducted in rural Bushnell and authorities allegedly found more than a pound of marijuana, ten marijuana plants and hallucinogenic mushrooms.
The resident, Nathan Lemaster, 27, was arrested and charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, (Psilocybin Mushrooms), Possession of a Controlled Substance, Manufacture/Delivery of Cannabis 500 to 2000 grams, Production of Cannabis Plants 5-20, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
