Big changes are coming to Quincy's Leon Bailey Park at 7th and Elm.
It's getting a brand new playground - and the community is helping design it.
Tonight the Park District let community members vote on what pieces they want in the park.
Dozens showed up at the Redmon and Lee building, including family members of Leon Bailey who say they're excited about the changes.
"I'm really glad about that, the community really needs it - the kids really need some good playground equipment in the park. It's been up there for a long time and it's about time that they have something new or different to play with," said his granddaughter Anita Johnson.
Back in October, park district officials voted on a type of playground system that would have several different stand alone pieces.Officials say they believed this type of playground would cater to kids of all ages.
Construction will begin this spring.
