Jarrod Rockhold is set to take on a new role at Lindenwood-Belleville, the Macomb senior will switch from defensive back to safety in college.
MACOMB, Ill. (WGEM) -- Another pair of standout football players took the next step in their careers on Wednesday afternoon.
Macomb defensive back Jarrod Rockhold and linebacker Eli Cousins signed on with Lindenwood-Belleville.
Both Rockhold and Cousins have played a key role in maintaining the rich history of Bomber football and now they'll play for a program that's only two years old.
"I guess I really bought into going down there and creating tradition," Cousins said.
"Being able to get out on the field, and get playing right away, and trying to earn my spot on the field."
Like a good teammate, Rockhold agreed.
"Coming from Macomb you're part of tradition, you're expected to make the playoffs, and you're expected to have a winning season, so going down there and creating tradition is a big thing for me."
Both players say they're looking forward to joining forces at the college level.
