Auto body shops see more vehicles coming in after storm

Got a ding or dent in your car from sliding in this winter storm? Be prepared to wait in line.

Managers at Tom Boland Ford in Hannibal expect to be swamped with cars and trucks coming in due to damage from weather related accidents. Service Manager David Wheeler says the most common problems surround the technical makeup.

"Steering issues. Somebody driving by not knowing there's a curb there, hits the curb and it goes out of whack. Alignment issues and you know a lot of times people are pulling cars out of the ditch and some steering components are bent from being hooked and something like that," Wheeler said.

He expects even more cars to come in over the weekend as the roads become safer to drive and more people retrieve their abandoned vehicles.
