Quincy Residents "Freezin' for a Reason" in Polar Plunge

Ice had to be chipped away out of Moorman Lake to clear a spot for the "Polar Plunge" in Quincy.

Over 200 people jumped into the freezing lake Saturday afternoon raise money for Special Olympics. There were around 30 teams, many in costume, who donated a grand total of $69,784.

And many plungers said  they had a great time.

WGEM's Kendra Whittle also plunged, alongside the Quincy Police Department.
