River Skate Closes for the Season

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

It may not seem like winter is drawing to a close, but one winter time activity is. River Skate closed for the season today.

To show their appreciation to their customers, River Skate gave out prizes throughout the weekend - including season passes for next year.  The owner says about five thousand people came to skate over the season. This has them looking forward to their summer season.
 

"Our summer season where we will have the rink available for private rentals and we're looking at taking it to some different fairs around the area," said Marion Dye, the owner and operator of River Skate.

River Skate will re-open next season on November 1st, 2013.
