Quincy University gets $50K to help repair Franciscan Retreat Center

Quincy University's plans to renovate their Franciscan Retreat Center just got a big boost from the Tracy Family Foundation; a $50,000 2-to-1 Challenge grant.

The university must match $100,000 in order to receive the grant to repair the aging facility.

Father John Doctor at Quincy University say the building holds over 30 spiritual retreats a year and to be able to continue to do that.

Upgrading the plumbing to prevent further damage is a must," Doctor said.

"You see water damage and you see the possibility of mold problems, and it's not very attractive in regards to that," Doctor said. "We really want to create an environment where people can feel at home when they come here for spiritual renewal."

Q-U has already come up with $50,000 and Now they need your help in raising the other $50,000.
