Spring is nearing and with that comes severe weather. If you're interested in learning more about how it all works and what to look for when it comes to the skies, get ready for with the WGEM StormTrak Weather Team!
This year's WGEM Storm Spotters Seminar takes place Monday, beginning at 6 p.m., at the John Wood Community College Paul Heath Fine Arts Center at 48th Street.
The evening includes a short presentation by the Adams County Red Cross, along with information from Adams County Emergency Director John Simon and WGEM StormTrak Weather Team.
Jim Kramper from the National Weather Service will be on hand for the storm spotters to train new storm spotters, plus recertify those who are already storm spotters. The NWS relies on storm spotters during severe weather.
There is no cost to attend and no registration is required.
