Quincy man pleads not guilty to murder, trial set for May


A Quincy man has pleaded not guilty to murder.

Vincent Carter, 44, appeared in court Wednesday as the judge found probable cause after hearing evidence and arguments.

Carter is charged with first degree murder in the Jan. 3 death of Terry Williams.

Police say Carter allegedly shot Williams at an apartment complex on South 11th Street.

Carter's murder trial is scheduled to begin May 13.
