PALMYRA, Mo. (WGEM) -
In Palmyra, city officials say the snow clean up process has been running smoothly.
Mayor Loren Graham said snow removal can eat away at the city budget.
Fortunately, the city is fully stocked with supplies this year because last winter was so mild.
Graham said a problem the city runs into with snow removal is aging city equipment.
"One of the main problems is the wear and tear on our equipment. We have five trucks that are out clearing the streets right now and just the wear and tear on those blades and the trucks themselves," said Graham."
Graham said crews will continue to clear streets as needed in town.
