Do you have an idea for a business, but don't have enough start up cash?
The Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce is offering a $10,000 prize for the winner of it's second annual Business Plan Competitions.
There actually two winners last year: Golden Bridges and Gem City Coffee.
Start-up companies as well as expansion of existing companies are eligible to enter.
Judging will be based on concept and innovation, viability economic impact and the oral presentation.
There is no cost to participate in the competition. Each contestant must submit an entry form by April 1, 2013, and the first draft of their Business Plan to the Chamber by June 14.
A selection committee will review the plans, and up to five business plans will be invited to submit final drafts and make oral presentations in the final round.
Packets of information about the competition are available at the Chamber office in the Oakley Lindsay Center during normal business hours. Or, you can click here.
