Iowa lawmakers discuss legislative topics at luncheon in Keokuk

KEOKUK, Ia. (WGEM) -

Some Iowa lawmakers met Friday in Keokuk to discuss the legislative action going on in Des Moines as well as closer to home.

State Senator Rich Taylor and Representative Jerry Kearns led a forum-style luncheon at the Hawkeye Restaurant. One of the topics discussed included the future fertilizer plant coming to Lee County.

Also, the group discussed the issues surrounding the closing of the mental health facility at the Fort Madison Prison
