Quincy Moms and Sons Have Date Night

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

 The Quincy Park District held its annual Mother-Son Date Night on Saturday, complete with sharply dressed boys and flowers for their dates.

For moms, it was a special occasion for them to share with their special little men.

"It gives us some time to spend together and of course the dancing is a hit with him and his friends and we always meet up with my sister and a friend here so it's always been a nice night," said mom Carrie Sohn, who has brought her 6 year-old-son for a few years.

The night was complete with dinner, dancing, and even had door prizes. 

The Park District will host a similar event Sunday, for dads and their daughters.
