Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum asking for volunteers

Posted:
HANNIBAL, Mo. (WGEM) -

As the busy tourism season gets closer, the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum is asking for your help.

Volunteer Coordinator Ann Lear says volunteers have completely staffed the museum gallery admissions desk and this year could staff the gift shop.  Lear expects about 20 to 25 volunteers to join this year and says it's vital to have this help for the museum.

"Volunteers are probably one of the biggest deals that we have going. They save a great deal on paid personnel plus they just bring an enthusiasm with them," Lear said.

To sign up to volunteer, contact the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum.
