
Fort Madison authorities have arrested one man for allegedly setting an apartment building on fire, but the investigation into several other suspicious fires continues.
The Fort Madison Police Department says 32-year-old Kristopher Murie was arrested
Saturday for arson and burglary after a four month investigation.
Murie is suspected of starting the fire at 1525 Avenue G on Nov. 25. Fire crews were able to rescue several people from the two story apartment building/furniture store before putting out the fire.
