As the temperatures start to warm up and melt the snow, it might be time to wash your car.
Glenn Predmore with State Street Lube and Maintenance says salt on the roads from the recent snow storms can get stuck in your vehicle's undercarriage, putting your car or truck at risk for rust.
If excess salt is left on the car for too long, Predmore says the results can be pretty damaging.
"Besides being rough on the finish it also will affect the underneath all the metal parts, most of them are coated, but it's definitely corrosive, it will make a difference on that and make your car rust out," Predmore said.
Besides washing your car, Predmore says it's also a good time of the year to check tire levels and fluid levels this time of year as well.
