QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -- It was a night of dancing, singing and joke telling at one Quincy School.
More than 150 people packed into the gym Friday night at Dewey Elementary to maybe catch a glimpse of the next Taylor Swift or Justin Bieber at the "Dewey's Got Talent" show. Kids got the chance to show off their skills to parents, classmates and teachers.
Kim Obert helped organize the event. She says, "It's for the families to come together, just to have family time and for the kids to bring their family to school and see their school."
This is the third year for the talent show and the event usually raises about $800. Proceeds go to the Dewey PTA to help pay for school yearbooks.
