Hannibal police say preliminary autopsy results on a man found dead in a motel parking lot do not indicate foul play.
Officials say the body of 63 year-old Howard Miller was found around 8 a.m. Wednesday outside of the Best Way Inn at 612 Mark Twain Avenue.
Marion County Sheriff Jimmy Shinn said on Wednesday that authorities labeled the investigation as a "suspicious death."
An autopsy was conducted in Columbia on Thursday morning.
Hannibal police say the cause of death will not be determined until final lab and toxicology results are returned. That may take several weeks.
