Body found floating in Mississippi believed to be missing Iowa woman

(WGEM) -- Hancock County Sheriff Scott Bentzinger says a woman found floating in the river between Hamilton and Nauvoo has been identified as a missing Henry County, Iowa woman.

The body was found Wednesday afternoon at about 3 o'clock.

Henry County Sheriff Rich McNamee says 45-year-old Teresa Bruegge was reported missing Feb. 15. He says Bruegge's van was found at the Faulkners Access of the Skunk River south of Mt. Pleasant.

Bentzinger says preliminary autopsy reports indicate the cause of death was drowning. Additional toxicology testing will be done.
