Hannibal businesses celebrate "Pi Day"

Posted:
HANNIBAL, Mo. (WGEM) -

What does doing math and eating pie have in common?

Both are suitable ways to celebrate on Thursday, dubbed as Pi Day!

March 14, or 3/14, is National Pi Day, a day to remember the number used to calculate the circumference of a circle.

Several Hannibal businesses offered special deals and tasty treats, including Picture Perfect Gallery and Framing.

If you spent 31 dollars and 41 cents at their store, you received a pie in a jar.

"Any time you can bring awareness to math and science and make it fun is good," Picture Perfect owner Judy Barnes said.

More than 20 other Hannibal businesses also celebrated Pi Day.
