Quincy Park District prepping for 2013 season

The Quincy Park District is getting its parks ready for the Spring and Summer.

Executive Director Ed Seger says crews have already put up the tennis nets. They're also starting to clear off the park roads and check them over.

Seger says there will be several projects to work on this year.

"There's a playground project in Leon Bailey Park. We're going to take out that playground system and install a new one," Seger said. "We're also planning to replace one of the shelters in Upper Moorman Park."

The parks will reopen April 1, as long as the weather permits.
