Keokuk's Lexington Care Group seeking new management after lawsuit

The Lexington Care Group in Keokuk has made an agreement with the state to find a third-party management company.

Last week, Iowa's Attorney General filed a $17 million lawsuit against Lexington Square and Lexington Place owner Alan Israel, accusing him of laundering money and making fraudulent Medicaid claims.

Sally Page will serve as interim manager of the nursing and mental illness facilities until a new management company is found.

Lexington Care Group expects to select a new management company and obtain approval for the selection from the Iowa Department of Human Services by March 22, 2013.
