Quincy University Celebrates New Building

Quincy University was alive with the sound of music Saturday afternoon for the opening of the newly finished Connie Niemann Center for Music.

Hundreds came to the center at QU to celebrate the end of renovation. Faculty members and students performed for visitors to illustrate the new purpose of the building as a performance space.

QU Director of Advancement Matt Bergman said the new building is promising for the future.

"This will not only help those students who are here today, but it will help the students of tomorrow. It will be a wonderful recruiting tool for our music program to get more students interested in music at Quincy University," said Bergman.

Bergman said this was the first donation from a living alumni.
