New Artist Displayed in Quincy

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

A fresh new artistic talent was showcased Saturday night in downtown Quincy.

The walls at the gallery on Hampshire Street were covered with artwork from Terry Newell.

Newell's artwork has been featured at First Bankers Trust in Quincy, and at Carthage Hospital.

Organizer George Scholz says Newell's art is so unique.

"His specialty now is enhanced photography, where he'll take local scenes, whatever you like, whatever you could imagine, and he'll take pictures of your home, my home, and he'll enhance it through the computer and it's so cool," he said.

Scholz hopes to bring more events to downtown Quincy.
