Teenaged Boy Charged after Driving without a License

AVON, Ill. (WGEM) -

A teenaged boy is facing serious charges, after they crashed a truck in rural Warren county.

According to the Illinois state police, the fourteen year old driver and his fifteen year old passenger were driving west on 23rd Avenue near Avon just before midnight last night, when the truck drove off the road, and overturned.

Neither were wearing seat belts and were thrown from the truck.

The passenger was transported to St. Mary's Hospital in Galesburg, the driver was taken to OSF St Francis in Peoria.

The driver was charged for not having a driver's license, fleeing, and not wearing a seatbelt.

There is an investigation pending for possession of a stolen vehicle.
